The role
You will be Siphon’s first engineering hire and a technical owner of the company.
You will inherit a working confidential-execution stack and be responsible for taking it from closed alpha to production: hardening the architecture, improving performance and reliability, shipping developer-facing infrastructure, and supporting protocols as they begin routing real transaction flow through Siphon.
This is not a narrowly scoped engineering position. You will have significant influence over architecture, security, infrastructure, technical hiring and engineering culture as the company grows.
Where we are
- Product deployed. The core execution stack is built and running in closed alpha on Base Mainnet.
- Initial protocol traction. We have signed four LOIs with DeFi protocols in the $20M–$100M TVL range. The first partner SDK and API integrations are scheduled to begin in October 2026.
- Technology validated externally. Our work has received support and recognition across the Ethereum and privacy infrastructure ecosystem, including grants, technical awards and infrastructure partnerships.
- Pre-seed stage. We are preparing our first institutional financing round with a clean cap table and an equity-only corporate structure.
We are now moving from proving the technology to operating it as production financial infrastructure.
What you will do
- Own and evolve the core execution architecture across confidential computation, zero-knowledge components, TEE infrastructure, relayers and Solidity settlement contracts.
- Take the system from alpha to production-grade infrastructure, with a strong focus on security, reliability and operational discipline.
- Ship the partner-facing SDK, API and MCP interfaces and work directly with the first protocols integrating Siphon.
- Improve end-to-end execution performance across proof generation, confidential computation and transaction settlement.
- Design and execute the expansion from Base to additional EVM networks.
- Strengthen the trust model through infrastructure redundancy, improved fault tolerance and reduced reliance on centralized components in the execution path.
- Establish engineering standards across CI/CD, testing, observability, incident response, documentation and code review.
- Work directly with security auditors, infrastructure providers, protocol engineering teams and other technical partners.
- Participate in technical hiring and help build the engineering organization that follows you.
